Game of Thrones Cast Talk Vanity Fair, President Obama At Season 4 Premiere
The new season is set to air next month...
The stars were out at last night’s London premiere for Game of Thrones Season 4 and they dished on their Vanity Fair cover, President Obama being a fan and more!
“I don’t think many TV series have been on the cover of Vanity Fair so it was a big honour for us,” said Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the drama, of the casts’ recent cover. The shoot, however, was no breeze as Sophie struggled to strike a pose on the rock she was perched on. “It was tricky,” Sophie admitted. “It was fun though!”
Meanwhile Gemma Whelan – aka Yara Greyjoy – had a few tricky moments of her own as she rode a horse for the first time on the show. “I learnt to horseride, as you probably saw,” she revealed.“Although occasionally after a couple of the cutaways I did crash into a camera or fall off – I’m not a great horsewoman!”
Davos Seaworth, played on screen by Liam Cunningham, was more interested in the fact that President Obama watches the show. “Yeah, he gets them before me, what’s that about?” Liam quipped.
“Hasn’t he got better things to be doing, y’know, like putting the world to right?”
Err, nothing’s more important than a Game of Thrones binge, Liam!
Season 4 premieres next month on Atlantic.
