8 Game Of Thrones Season 6 Questions We Desperately Need Answers To

Winter is coming. Maybe…

Okay, we’re pretty sure you wouldn’t have clicked this link unless you were 100% completely and utterly up to date with all 5 seasons of Game Of Thrones, but just in case, a quick warning…

SPOILER SPOILERS SPOILERS SO SO MANY SPOILERS AHEAD LIKE BASICALLY THE ENTIRE PLOT IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE SHOW WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE GO BUY THE BOXSET NOW LIKE SERIOUSLY

Okay, now that’s out the way.

The highly-anticipated 6th season of HBO’s epic Game Of Thrones hits UK screens early tomorrow morning, so ahead of our reunion with Tyrion Lannister, Arya Stark, Daenerys Targaryen and the rest of our favourite crew, here are a few BURNING questions we’re hoping to get answers to this series. But, just to be clear…

HERE BE SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS LIKE FROM THE FIRST POINT SPOILERS

Is Jon Snow Dead?

It’s hard being a Stark. If you’re not being burned alive by the Mad King, you’re beheaded for being the one good Hand in Westeros. Or, if you’re like Jon “Stark-But-Not-A-Stark” Snow, you get stabbed to death by your own ‘loyal’ Watchers on the Wall.

Now, this is unfair for a number of reasons: A) he never found out who is mother is, and that seemed pretty intrinsic to the plot. B) Following on from A, we never found out if R+L=J, despite Littlefinger dropping some pretty BIG hints in S5. C) We’ll miss Kit Harington’s beautiful hair if he dead dead.

Let’s hope he was only mostly dead.

How Will Cersei Murder Everyone?

Cersei had a pretty terrible season 5. Abandoned by casual boyfriend/brother, Jaime, then subjected to a very not nice naked Walk of Shame by the Sparrows, you’d be right in thinking the Lannister matriarch will be plotting some sort of vicious vengeance, especially now she has the reanimated Mountain corpseby her side. So who’s she gonna murder first, and, more importantly, HOW?

Should We Be Getting Hype For Cleganebowl?

Now, this question is a little out there, but bear with us. You remember The Hound? The loveable, horribly violent, sort-of-friend-mentor-thing to Arya a couple of seasons ago, before the little Braavosi left him to his death on the side of a hill?

Well, there’s a popular fan theory that Sandor Clegane didn’t meet his demise, and in fact ran off to a monastery, where he buried his violent path and became a gravedigger, and what’s even more interesting is that GoT newcomer, Ian McShane, hinted at The Hound’s survival in a recent interview.

Now, if we know one thing about The Hound, it’s how much he hates his brother – you know, the guy who gave him his trademark face? Well, now that Clegane elder, AKA The Mountain That Rides, AKA Cersei’s Zombie Bodyguard is back on the scene, we might see an epic battle between the two brothers, the war between church and state, otherwise known as CLEGANEBOWL!

Get hype.

Is Arya Perma Blind?

Trespassing can carry some pretty dire consequences, kids, but none so terrible as the fate that befell baby Stark when she walked into the Hall of Faces at the end of Season 5. Now blinded by Dread Pirate Roberts… Sorry, Jaqen H’Ghar… we’ll see just how strong Arya really is.

Will she get her sight back? Well, from the look of things in the trailer, it won’t hold her fighting style back. Maybe Maisie Williams is lining herself up to play the female Daredevil?

Can Dany Build A New Empire?

If we learned anything from Season 5, it’s that it’s hard being a Khaleesi. Desperately hanging on to power in Meereen for pretty much the entire series, Daenerys Targaryen finally threw in the towel and scampered during an assassination attempt, fleeing the city on her trusty steed, Drogon.

Now, pretty much back where she began (in the middle of the Dothraki Sea), her fate as the Last Dragon is pretty uncertain. We need to know whether she can build up the empire that she once had, maybe get that Dothraki army her brother Viserys was after way back in series 1?

What Happened To Bran Stark?

Remember that kid that used to hang around Winterfell? You know, he used to love clambering around before a tragic climbing accident? Then he realized he could control mindless beasts (and Hodor), then he ran north of The Wall? Yeah, we have a vague recollection too.

Last seen chatting to the physical manifestation of the Three Eyed Raven of his dreams, young Bran Stark has been absent for an entire season. But, as we know from the trailer, he’s definitely back in S6. So what’s he been up to? Probably consoling Meera Reed for the tragic loss of her brother, Jojen (stabbed in the chest by a skeleton then blown up), but maybe something more badass as well?

What Do The White Walkers Even Want?

After Hardhome, “Come At Me Crow” was the meme on everyone’s lips, so we’re hoping this season expands on The Night’s King’s motivations. Why is he bringing everyone back from the dead? Why are they descending on The Wall? Why does he want to rule a nation of undead cold-blooded zombies? We need answers!

Where. The. Hell. Is. Gendry?

Last seen rowing off into the open sea. In a dinghy. On his own.

Yeah, he’s probably dead.
