Game Of Thrones Season Premiere Is Ratings Smash
The season four premiere of Games Of Thrones was watched by more than 6.6 million viewers on Sunday night, making it HBO's biggest ratings-winner since the last ever episode of The Sopranos in 2007.
Season four opener Two Swords had GoT's largest audience to date - which up a massive 50 per cent from the season three premiere.
It also tripled the 2.2 million who tuned in for the first-ever episode back in April 2011.
A further 1.6 million viewers also watched the repeat of the episode - making a collective audience of 8.2 million.
And US-based online streaming service HBO GO experienced multiple technical errors due to the huge demand for the show.
The show also put in a strong performance on social media with 1.9 million engaging in conversation about the show on Facebook - resulting in 2.8 million likes, posts and shares.
