Game Of Thrones Stars Praise Madonna Costume
Emilia Clarke among the cast members paying tribute to Queen of Pop's fancy dress effort...
But it seems that the shock of seeing the material girl in fancy dress was even bigger for the cast of Game Of Thrones - who have been sharing their thoughts on the subject.
Emilia Clarke - who plays the character Madge was dressed as - told Access Hollywood: "Oh my goodness. It's insane. I thought I was asleep, I thought I was dreaming.
"It's a huge moment. And, damn! She looks good."
And Gwendoline Christie - who plays Brienne of Tarth - added: "I got really, really excited. Madonna's always been a favourite of mine. I love her strength and her transformative nature and the idea that she might be dressing up as a brilliant character in the TV show I'm in is pretty exciting."
Carice van Houten, who plays the Red Priestess in the popular HBO show, joked: "I was like, 'Why's she not wearing the red dress, man?' No, I completely get it.
"It's such a great honour for my youth idol to dress up like someone that I'm working with."
Meanwhile Game Of Thrones creator George RR Martin has suggested that his fantasy epic might end as a feature film rather than on the small screen.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said: "It all depends on how long the main series runs.
"Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10? The books get bigger and bigger.
"It might need a feature to tie things up, something with a feature budget, like $100 million for two hours. Those dragons get real big, you know."
The fourth season of the show will debut on Sky Atlantic on 7 April.
