Meet The New Game Of Thrones Cast Members

Jonathan Price and Alexander Siddig among the new arrivals to Westeros....

No sooner has the fourth series of Game Of Thrones finished than HBO has started getting us excited for the fifth season.

The TV network has released a two minute video in which nine new cast members are introduced along with their character names.

And most of them seem genuinely thrilled to be working on the hugely successful fantasy drama.

The best-known names added to the cast are British actor Jonathan Pryce as High Sparrow and Sudanese-British thesp Alexander Siddig as Doran Martell. Siddig is best-known to many for his role as Dr Bashir in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

The other new arrivals are Toby Sebastian as Trystane Martell, Nell Tiger Free as Myrcella Baratheon, DeObia Oparei as Areo Hotah, Enzo Cilenti as Yezzan, Jessica Henwick as Nymeria Sand, Rosabell Laurenti Sellers as Tyene Sand and Keisha Castle-Hughes as Obara Sand.

Released at Comic-Con, the video was featured alongside an in-depth panel discussion with the show's cast and creators.

And writer George RR Martin gave an enigmatic response when asked what he'd say to fans who plan to stop watching the show when it catches up with the books.

"I encourage everyone to watch the show. I do also encourage people to read the books," The Guardian reports him as saying.

"In regard to the question of how to experience the story in its true form, I've said it before like this: How many children does Scarlett O'Hara have? In the book Gone with the Wind, she has three, but she has one child in the film. Of course, the true story is that she has no children because she never existed.

"She is a fictional character and there are two wonderful ways of telling this story. Who did Robb Stark marry? Was it Talisa, who died, or was it Jeyne Westerling, who lives, and who will be seen in the prologue of Winds of Winter?"

We hope that's clear now.
