Ned Stark Is Returning To Game of Thrones!

A flashback scene for Game of Thrones season six has been cast... and it could prove a controversial fan theory.

It’s confirmed. Ned Stark, former Lord and Warden of the North, will be in season sixof 'Game of Thrones.'

However, Sean Bean, he of many deaths, will not be reprising his role as late head (ahem) of the Stark family, Eddard Stark.

Instead, we’ll be seeing the character in a flashback scene as a child. 13-year-old British actor Sebastian Croft has been cast as the young Eddard Stark.

Even though our mental trauma fromNed's shock death at the end of the show’s first season may have been replaced since with even more DEVASTATING character losses, we still can’t wait to see Ned return...

Not least of which because this is FANTASTIC NEWSfor subscribers to the' Game of Thrones 'R+L=J fan theory about the' true' identity of Jon Snow’s real parents (which season five seemed to be strongly hinting towards).

Now, if Ned Stark is coming back into the story for flashbacks, all signs are TOTALLY pointing to our fave fan theory.

The North remembers.
