The Game Of Thrones Cast Covers Vanity Fair

Brace yourselves, Season 4 is coming...

The Game Of Thrones cast appear on the cover of Vanity Fair, just a month before the fourth season airs.

Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Lena Headey (Cersi Lannister), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) and Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) all feature on the cover dressed as their on-screen alter egos.

Inside the mag, creator George R. R. Martin admits that the television series is quickly catching up to his original books, which he has yet to finish writing. “It’s alarming,” he said.

[related]One of the show’s producers, meanwhile, reports that they are so worried about catching up to the books they have had to make contingency plans.

“Last year we went out to Santa Fe for a week to sit down with him [Martin] and just talk through where things are going,” David Benioff explained.

“Because we don’t know if we are going to catch up and where exactly that would be. If you know the ending, then you can lay the groundwork for it.”

“And so we want to know how everything ends, he added. “We want to be able to set things up. So we just sat down with him and literally went through every character.

And Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister, gives an interview in which he admits he took the role because: “It just seemed like something I had never come across before, especially in the fantasy genre, which I still refuse to call this, even though we have dragons.”
