The Most Badass Villain In Westeros Is Set To Return To Game Of Thrones
All the red wedding memories come flooding back...
While our heads are still spinning after Jon Snow himself was spotted on set for Game Of Thrones season six, this next bit of news might not fill you with as much hope and joy…
You may or may not remember that little episode in season three where pretty much the ENTIRE Stark family get brutally murdered… Yep, we tried to block it from our minds as well.
Well, we're sorry to have to bring it all up again, but it looks as though Westeros' most badass villain may well be returning for season six.
That's right, Walder Frey, who was last seen at the infamous red wedding, will be back after more than two years away from the show. According to one of Varys' little birds he was spotted near the show's set in Belfast earlier this week.
Although this is all still speculative, we've pretty much got confirmation from David Bradley himself (you may recognise him as Hogwarts' terrifying care-taker in the Harry Potter franchise).
While promoting his FX series The Strain the actor confirmed that Walder Frey will be returning to Westeros, saying: "He will be coming back, but I can't say when."
When asked if it would be as soon as season six, he responded: "I can't really say because things are in a delicate situation."
With Bradley's confirmation and being spotted in Belfast, we've put two and two together and reckon we'll be seeing him return to screens very soon!
Now, what he'll do upon his return is still uncertain, but we're sure it will involve something completely irreverent. After all, you don't get called the baddest mofo in Westeros for nothing.
