11 Totally Crazy And Cute New Games Revealed By Nintendo At E3
These new Nintendo games will be taking over your life... or making you say WTF.
Nintendo’s E3 reveals were cute AND crazy.
The iconic games company opened their live stream for the world's biggest games confrerence with a weird puppet skit - and things only got more adorably bonkers from there. Here are the brand new reveals that you're going to be desperate to play… or have you crying WTF at your screen. Or both!
Star Fox Zero
Fox is back! And with new controls for a more immersive and easier-to-use experience. Unlike the Nintendo 64 version, this one needs only one button to fire all weapons and uses the swish gyro of the Wii U GamePad to look around and aim.
Super Mario Maker
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. Luckily, we can celebrate with new retro builder game Super Mario Maker! ‘Players will become creators,’ says Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime. Allowing you to completely design and share your own side-scrolling Mario levels and share them with other players all over the world, this is going to be a seriously creative experience. Also relevant: it was demoed showing a cat paw doing all the designing.
New Amiibo unveiled!
Some of our favourite Nintendo characters will be crossing over into the new Skylanders: Superchargers game! A turbo-charged Donkey Kong in his vehicle, the Barrel Blaster and Hammer Slam Bowser in his Clown Cruiser will be available in physcial Amiibo form to use with the new Activision game.
On the adorable front, Animal Crossing Amiibo are on their way with new Wii U party game, Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival, and they look super cute.
PLUS an 8-bit Mario is on its way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the games icon - which is cool, even though it looks like it could take your eye out.
The Legend Of Zelda: Triforce Heroes
A ZELDA GAME WITH MULTIPLAYER? Yes, its true. Classic Link challenges like collecting rupees and dungeon puzzles are turning co-op in this new addition to the series and we can’t wait. Looking like a cross between Animal Crossing, Bomber Man and Super Mario Land, it’ll be hitting a 3DS near you later in 2015.
Oh, and it will include 'fashion elements'. Nintendo, you had us at "lucky loungewear".
Metroid Prime: Federation Force
Sticking with the co-op theme, this will include battle games you can play with up to 4 friends, with games like shooty party fun fest 'Metroid Prime: Blast Ball' – all in the Metroid universe.
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer
We already knew this was coming and the closer look at the Animal Crossing spinoff means we CANNOT WAIT to get decorating not just our villagers’ homes. Plus apparently you can create a school! Cutest news evs.
Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival
Ok so wait - there’s even cuter news. Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival is coming to Wii U and its basically Mario Party: Animal Crossing Edition. And with it is coming Animal Crossing amiibo! Want. Them. All.
Yo-kai Watch
Extremely cute AND looking like Pokemon? We’re very OK with that combo.
Mario & Luigi Paper Jam Bros
Mario & Luigi Paper Jam Bros might sound like an inkjet printer error but it promises to be a lot more fun. 3D Mario will be joining forces with Paper Mario for a dimension-bending adventure hitting the 3DS next spring.
Mario Tennis Ultra Smash
A new Mario Tennis is coming later this year. Quite frankly, we’re more excited about this sports game than a new Madden.
Mirage Master
Honestly we’re not really sure what we just watched but it’s definitely he most Japanese thing you’ll see all day.
