New PS4 Slim Leaked In Super Clear Photos
The new console has leaked online.
Sony already announced it was working on a new console and now it has leaked in photos online.
The photos come ahead of a Sony press conference where it’s expected to announce both a slimmer PlayStation and a more powerful 4K machine for later in the year.
The PS4 Slim was first spotted on auction website Gumtree where photos were sent all over the interwebs. Since then journalists have visited the person who bought the console from Gumtree for more photography.
The pictures reveal a slim PS4 with front loading disc tray and two USB ports. Cool detailing on the underside can be seen, like the PlayStation logo in the centre surrounded by button shaped signs for the rubber feet, “X”, “O” plus square and triangle.
The box shows the unit as a 500GB console which is the base level for the current PS4. There may be other options although this console is rumoured to be a more affordable than the PS4 so it could only come in one storage size.
There has been no mention of 4K video capabilities or Ultra HD Blu-ray playback like Microsoft’s Xbox One S offers. Sony is thought to be working on another console that will offer 4K gaming to compete with Microsoft’s Project Scorpio due in 2017.
Sony is expected to reveal the new consoles at a press conference it is holding in New York on 7 September.
