Simon Cowell has reportedly been in "peace talks" with Gary Barlow, after the Take That singer's performance on The X Factor was described as “wooden” in Cowell’s biography.

According to The Mirror, Cowell was unimpressed by Gary’s performance in the audition rounds of the talent show, despite ITV bosses liking him.
The tabloid reports how Gary said: “I had a big review with Simon about the show and the acts. He never talks about what you say as a judge he’s always about the acts.

"He says we’ve got to find more stars, we’ve got to develop them, we’ve got to look back at the tapes from last year and see if there are people we’ve missed.
“It’s always about the talent. It’s the same reason I’m here for, finding talent, especially on X Factor where people walk from the streets and everyone gets a chance with us.
“The idea that we can walk out and half an hour later this amazing talent walks onto the stage - that’s why I am here.”
But Cowell reportedly believes the judges have room for improvement, as well as the acts.
A source close to Simon told the paper: “Simon told Gary what was good and bad about last year’s show – and started planning the new series.
“It was just the two of them - and a really productive meeting.
"After all, Simon is incredibly hands-on with the show – and wants to discover the best possible talent.”
