Gaz Beadle Just Helped Raise £1.3 Million To Help Save The Life Of A Baby Boy
A charity target was smashed with some help from the Geordie Shore star
Gary Beadle has helped a family raise enough money to afford potentially life-saving treatment for their sick baby.
Connie and Chris Yates were devastated to learn their seven month old baby son named Charlie suffers from a disease called mitochondrial depletion syndrome.
The disease typically affects muscle tissue and tissue found in the liver and the brain – with the condition usually proving fatal for children.
The couple needed to raise £1.2 million by the third of April to afford possible life saving treatment in the USA.
On Saturday, Gary took to Twitter to share the family’s plight – highlighting their Go Fund Me page as their deadline loomed.
“EVERYONE PLEASE SHARE RT AND DONATE!! If we all pull together we can save this boys life... #charliesfight,” the Geordie Shore star wrote.
Within 15 hours, Connie and Chris were delighted to see their funds boosted – with their target being surpassed and heading towards almost £1.3 million by Sunday afternoon.
April 3 was an urgent end date for the family as it was possible a court order would require their baby son to have his life support turned off as Connie reports that doctors have said keeping their son alive is not in his best interest.
With the funds now secure, the family will be able to trial medication in the USA.

We’re glad Gaz was able to help - and the star himself tweeted that the target being smashed is "Amazing!"
