Gaz Beadle Reveals The Real Reason Behind That Split With Emma McVey
The pair have since patched up their relationship, but where did they go wrong?
Gaz Beadle has opened up for the first time about what led to his split from girlfriend Emma McVey before the pair decided to give their relationship another shot.
Despite a whole heap of rumours that Gaz had been unfaithful during their romance, he's come forward to explain that their break-up was initiated by the fact they weren't spending enough time together.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the Geordie Shore star revealed: "I mean, me and Emma were fine. We were living together. There was no cheating. The only strain on our relationship was Australia. I went out there to film Hell’s Kitchen Australia. I didn’t know how intense the filming schedule was going to be so I said: "You can come, it will be fine."
"And then I got there and I was filming for thirteen hours a day, six days a week for seven weeks. I coming home at nine/ten at night so I was trying to find things for her to do, things for us to do because I only had one day off.
After pointing out that this seperation caused a spate of arguments, Gaz admitted that he began thinking it would be an easier option for him to be single.
"I was thinking, 'If I’m working all the time, is it fair? Should I be single? Should I not?" and obviously then that’s when I decided to finish it. It was a d**k***d move. I bottled doing it over the phone rather than face-to-face so just did it by text.
As for Emma's claim that he was unfaithful, Gaz said: "I came out and heard the cheating [accusations] and was thinking "What?" I was actually well behaved and we had just finished because of the Australia thing.
"We’re back together, we’re happy and yeah, we’ll watch Geordie Shore when it comes back on... if we can get through that towards the end of the year then that means we can get through anything. It would be lovely though [marriage]"
Confessing that he'd love to have to have a white picket fence and 2.2 kids with Emma, he added: "I think the next that’s the question. My Facebook is just full of people with kids, marriages and engagements, I’m thinking: "S**t I’ll have to catch up."
Phew. At least this one all fell into place in the end.
