Gemma Collins Fell Down A Hole On Stage And Became A Viral Sensation
Proof that it's Gemma's world and we all just live in it.
Just when we all feared the Gemma Collins memays were finally drying up, the goddess of the internet (informally known as The GC) fell down a sneaky trapdoor while presenting at the Radio 1 Teen Awards.
The Only Way Is Essex star had just announced that Love Island had taken home the Best TV show gong when she took a tumble down the stage hole just as Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay were climbing up.
Let's all get checking out an update from MTV News...
The whole thing was captured on multiple cameras, with 12,500 fans at The Wembley Arena witnessing the moment in the flesh.
For the rest of us, Gemma handily shared a video of her epic fall alongside the caption: "Madonna done it and I done it. When I tell you I'm Bridget Jones in an Essex girl it's finally confirmed. Best and worse moment for me."
Gemma later shared a video on BBC Newsbeat, saying: "Don't panic, I'm alive. Yes, I stacked it on stage. Yes, I disappeared. I'm alive... GC is alive and kicking and still loving Radio 1."
Fans immediately rushed to the internet to announce that Gemma is "the gift that keeps on giving," while others urged her to send the footage to You've Been Framed and cash in on a sweet £250.
On the plus side, Gemma did manage to fulfil her life ambition of sharing a selfie with Rita Ora, which proves that sometimes you just have to be willing to roll with the punches.
