Get involved! Make Some Noise is a mix of music, celebration and action designed to engage you in Amnesty International's human rights work.
Well known local and international artists are re-recording some of the greatest ever John Lennon songs exclusively for Amnesty International who will then launch a series of digital and physical releases.
We did a whole bunch of recordings at Oxegen with bands like - Boy Kill Boy, Feeder, Corinne Bailey Rae, Maximo Park, Orson, The Charlatans, The Feeling and Guillemots.
You can catch these performances all over the MTV Ultimate Festival Weekend this weekend (July 29 and 30). So don't miss 'em.
What does Make Some Noise mean? What is Amnesty asking people to do? We hear you ask... The campaign is literally asking people to Make Some Noise in any way they feel comfortable, in support of human rights. They want to make noise on behalf of individuals that have been silenced through injustice, and they want to make enough noise so that all those fighting against injustice and inequality know that we are on their side. They want those who oppose individual liberties to know that we will not shut up, that we will continue to speak out for human rights.
