Call for Visual Artists!
Get involved in this unique opportunity for any budding visual artists. You could work alongside the UKs most respected musicians from Brian May, Paul Weller to Bruce Dickinson and Nick Mason together with Art legends such as Sir Peter Blake and Gerald Scarfe.
Gibson Guitar Town London is a community inspired music and arts campaign, to raise money for The Princes Trust, Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and Teenage Cancer Trust charities.
30 selected visual artists will paint a ten foot individual free standing fibre-glass Gibson Les Paul guitarand/or a regular Customized Gibson SG which has been endorsed and designed by a well known British musician. A 150 gift voucher will be given to each successful artist to purchase material for their guitar.
Your work will then be publicly displayed from June through to September 2007 around More London - City Hall, London SE1 after which all the guitars will be sold at the charity auction event in September
To enter, download a visual artist application and Les Paul template form from the www.londonguitartown.com website and send in examples of your work by February 28th 2007. All winning entrants will be notified in writing shortly after the deadline.
