Kodjo Yenga Spoke of Knife Fears to MTV
Victim told MTV News his concerns
The latest victim in the recent spate of teen knife crime, Kodjo Yenga,16, was one of the interviewees in a recent MTV News Special.
'The MTV Generation' surveyed " and gave a voice to - a cross-section of Britain's youth. The show explored our viewers hopes and fears in modern day life covering issues such as money, career, drugs and crime.
And in a cruel twist, Kodjo's main concern was the increase in kids carrying knives on the streets.
He said: "I think stabbings are getting worseI don't think it happens all the time but it happens quite a lot."
The schoolboy was stabbed to death in West London on Wednesday. Witnesses spoke of a baying mob chanting "Kill him, kill him."
His mother, Ladjua Yenga said: "Kodjo was a beautiful boy. He studied hard and was making something of his life. He wanted to go into TV and design."
Four youths, two aged 13, one aged 15 and a 16-year-old, have been charged and will remain in custody to appear before a youth court on Wednesday.
Five more teens have been bailed in connection with the stabbing.
On Saturday afternoon, 30 members of his family laid flowers and tributes at the scene of his death.
