The MTV Asia Awards 2005 will now be MTV Asia Aid instead.
The ceremony has been repositioned into a global benefit, in support of the recovery efforts taking place in Asia following the tsunami disaster.
The ceremony will still take place on February 3 at IMPACT Arena in Bangkok.
Details of the event, including participating artists, will follow in the coming weeks.
