*** Avril Lavigne is to tour the UK in October. The tour kicks off at Manchester Evening News Arena on October 3 and will call at Birmingham Indoor National Arena (4), Belfast's Odyssey (6), Glasgow's SECC (7), Cardiff Arena (9) and London's Wembley Arena on (10). Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 4.
*** Madonna's current Re-Invention world tour is likely to be the highest grossing tour of the year, according to reports. The 120 tour-dates, all of which sold-out within minutes, are expected to rake in around $120 million. Features on the tour include a 42ft wide and 10ft high turntable, a series of conveyor belts at the front of the stage and the projection of war-related imagery.
*** David Beckham has said that he and Victoria will get through this tough time " him having been accused of cheating - and will stay together forever. "People can say what they like," said the England captain in an interview with Vanity Fair, "But me and Victoria will always stay together as husband and wife." He added: "I'm happy right now - as long as my family is OK, nothing affects me. "
*** Ozzy Osbourne, Rod Stewart and James Brown are to perform at a free concert in London to mark the return of the Olympic torch to the UK. The three, along with Kelly Osbourne, Jamelia, Will Young, Emma Bunton and McFly will perform in Central London on June 26 - the day the torch touches down in London for the first time since 1948.
*** Dido has denied reports that she plans to leave the UK and move to the US. , "No, it's not true," the vocalist said in a posting on her website. "I got a bit of a surprise when I read that in the papers." In other Dido news, it has emerged that she fell off the stage during one of gigs on her current US tour.
