*** Eminem has left his hometown and bought a mansion in the heart of Hollywood. The rapper has spent 3 million on a new Hollywood home, where his new neighbours will include Ben Affleck, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. Sources suggest he has made the move to concentrate on his film career, given a huge boost by '8 Mile'.
*** Britney Spears will reportedly have an underground rap track of hers being released on a mixtape in the US, despite her label not being happy about it. Clinton Sparks, a Boston DJ who's in responsible for tape said: "Obviously she has a lot to say. She's been involved in a lot of controversy."
*** Travis have surprised fans by busking in Glasgow. The band turned up for an impromptu gig at Sauchiehall Street in conjunction with 'The Big Issue', ahead of tonight's Barrowlands gig. "We've always worked with 'The Big Issue'," said singer Fran Healy, "They didn't even know we were doing it so they're well chuffed. But it's been magic."
*** Nirvana are about to release a four-disc compilation in the UK. The highly anticipated box-set will include three audio CDs with over 40 tracks, and one DVD with archive footage. The audio tracks are rare and previously unheard demos, alternative versions and radio session tracks. The currently untitledset is due out on November 22.
*** Anthony Kiedis has revealed he lost his virginity when he was 12 years old - to his father's girlfriend. In his new autobiography, the Red Hot Chili Peppers' frontman reveals that his father always brought home new girlfriends. The book's ghost writer Larry 'Ratso' Sloman said: "His girlfriends were always young, hot girls."
*** Charlotte Church has said she's not willing to launch her pop career with a raunchy video, because she doesn't want to upset her nan. She said: "If I do the whole t*ts-and-arse thing, it won't be the end of the world, but I want my nan to be able to look at my videos without squirming."
