*** The new Libertines album has surfaced on the net. It is thought that the record, entitled 'The Libertines', appeared online last Sunday, so may already have been downloaded by numerous fans. The album is due for release on August 30, preceded by its first single 'Can't Stand Me Now' on August 9. The band, meanwhile, will play at T In The Park this weekend, minus troubled frontman Pete Doherty.
*** Jessica Simpson is being lined-up to play the Bond girl in the next 007 flick, according to reports. Producers are apparently interested in Simpson for the role in way of third choice, having not been able to secure either Catherine Zeta Jones or Britney Spears. The Bond girl will get it on with Pierce Brosnan in his last outing as 007.
*** Justin Timberlake has reportedly put back the release of his autobiography so not to clash with the release of Robbie Williams' new one. JT is said to have been worried that his life story, imaginatively titled 'Justin Timberlake', might get overlooked if it went on sale on October 1, the same day as 'The World According To Robert P Williams', as originally scheduled, so it's now expected early next year.
*** Prodigy star Keith Flint is dating 19-year-old rapper Jentina, according to reports. "Keith and Jentina are totally smitten with each other," a friend told The Sun. "They share the same sense of humour and get on brilliantly. There is an age gap, he's 34 Jentina is only 19, but that doesn't put them off. "Jentina is a massive talent and didn't want to be famous just as the girlfriend of someone so well known.
*** Kings Of Leon will play this weekend's T In The Park and Oxegen festivals, despite drummer Nathan Fallowill's hand injury. The drummer of the hairy-faced trio injured himself during last weekend's Roskilde festival, and as a result the band were forced to pull out of a scheduled gig in Serbia. A doctor has, however, given him the all clear for this weekend.
