*** Blazin Squad have reportedly been signed up to sing the official England song for this summer's European Championships. "The deal has been done and the band will follow in the footsteps of New Order, Echo & The Bunnymen and Ant & Dec to represent England," an 'FA insider' told The Sun. "The band are obviously very excited and realise this will open up new markets for them."
*** Victoria Beckham will spend Easter in Spain with husband David, amid reports that more details of his alleged affair are about to come to light. David, already in Madrid to train for Sunday's Real Madrid game, will be joined by his wife in a public display of unity. The woman at the centre of the allegations, Rebecca Loos, is rumoured to have signed a 300,000 deal to tell all about her alleged romance with the England captain.
*** Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher made a surprise appearance on stage with Liverpool band The Stands at their London gig on April 7. Noel joined the band to play guitar on 'Some Weekend Night', a track from The Stand's debut album. Oasis bandmate Gem Archer was also at the gig, as was Sean Lennon and Ringo Starr's son, Zak Starkey, who drummed with Oasis during recent studio sessions.
*** Lee Ryan from Blue is considering taking legal action against the police after they released details of his home address. The leak relates to a drink-driving charge after the singer was stopped in his Porsche, convicted and given an 18-month driving ban. Blue's solicitors have apparently filed a complaint with the Metropolitan Police and asked for an explanation of the inadvertent leak of Lee's address.
*** The Streets has added an extra UK tour-date. Mike Skinner will bring his live ensemble to London's Brixton Academy on May 22 as well as the previously announced, and now sold-out, date at the same venue the night before. The Streets' comeback single 'Fit But You Know It' hits the shelves on April 26, followed not long after by Skinner's second album 'A Grand Don't Come For Free'.
*** Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme was forced to cancel a gig after being involved in a bar brawl in New York. The singer received minor injuries in the brawl, which took place after a gig with his side-project, Eagles Of Death Metal, and subsequently cancelled one show with the Eagles.
*** Eminem mooned television viewers during an appearance on German show 'TV Total'. The rapper told a bemused host that he loved Germany, before unzipping his jeans and baring his bum. In other Eminem news, an arrest warrant has been issued for ex-wife Kim Mathers after she failed to return to a court-ordered drug treatment programme.
