*** Janet Jackson's 'boob' remained a major sub-plot at the Grammy Awards last night. Accepting the award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, America's Most Wanted Justin Timberlake admitted it had been "a rough week on everybody". "What occurred was unintentional, completely regrettable, and I apologise if you guys are offended", he added. His date for the night was his mother.
*** Arguably the two most prestigious awards of the night, Record Of The Year and Album Of The Year, went to Coldplay for 'Clocks' and OutKast for 'Speakerboxxx/The Love Below' respectively.
*** The night also meant the first major American music award for Kylie Minogue. She beat off competition from Cher, Madonna and Groove Armada to win Best Dance Song for 'Come Into My World'.
*** Meanwhile, Britney Spears has been explaining herself. Apparently, she married a childhood friend in Las Vegas last month because she "wanted to see what it was like". She insisted alcohol had had nothing to do with it, telling Entertainment Tonight she "wanted to do something wild and crazy and... wanted to get married".
*** The Chemical Brothers are the latest additions to this years T In The Park festival. The duo will headline the Slam Dance Tent, joining Muse, David Bowie and The Darkness at the Scottish event, which takes place at Balado near Kinross from July 10-11.
*** After spending years as Shaun Ryders dancing sidekick in the Happy Mondays and Black Grape, Bez is about to step into the spotlight with his first solo single. But that does not mean the end to a beautiful partnership; the track due out in April or May will be produced by Ryder.
