*** Eminem's uncle has reportedly committed suicide. 42-year-old Todd Nelson shot himself in the head as he was sat in his car. Eminem lost another uncle, 19-year-old Ronnie Nelson, to a shotgun suicide in 1991. A source said: "This news has hit Marshall hard. It will bring back all the memories of losing Ronnie."
*** Franz Ferdinand have announced another homecoming pre-Christmas show. The band's gig at the Glasgow SECC on December 18 is already sold-out, despite tickets only going on sale yesterday. A second date has now been added for the following night (December 19). Tickets for the new show are on sale now.
*** Graham Coxon is allegedly returning to Blur. According to the tabloids, the band's ex-guitarist has reportedly met with the rest of the members "for talks". A source was quoted: "The meeting went well. It's very positive for everyone and Graham will still be able to do his solo work as well as working with the band again."
*** Beyonce Knowles has reportedly said she doesn't want her future children to become famous because it's too stressful. "It's really hard", she'd explained, talking of how she suffered from exhaustion after the last Destiny's Child album. "I was so overworked. I had to start saying 'no' to certain things. That's when I learnt you have to know your limits."
*** Electric Six are back in the studio to record their next album. The Detroit rockers have set to work on their follow-up to 2003's 'Fire'. A first taste of the new material, in the shape of the band's new track 'Vibrator', is now available as a free download. Their next single, a cover of Queen's 'Radio Ga Ga', is released on December 11.
*** Will Young has taken the top gong at the Digital Music Awards. For the second year running, the 'Pop Idol' winner was crowned Artist of the Year, beating Kylie Minogue, Blue and Busted. Other winners on the night include Girls Aloud (Best Pop Artist), Coldplay (Best Download), Paul Weller, The Streets, Faithless and Lemar.
