*** Fatboy Slim will take his Big Beach Boutique dance party to Brazil this year. After headlining two beach parties in Brighton in recent years, Norman Cook's third outing will take place on Flamengo Beach in Rio De Janeiro on March 7. Between 200,000 and 500,000 partygoers are expected at the event.
*** Details of tickets sales for this year's Glastonbury Festival have been revealed. All tickets will be personalised to prevent unauthorised reselling, and there will be checks at the gates upon entrance to the festival. Tickets go on sale on April 1, and cost 112. Glastonbury takes place from June 25-27.
*** Pop Idol judge Pete Waterman has broken his silence on 2003 winner Michelle McManus, branding her "rubbish". "The winner was rubbish and I think her low sales probably reflect that. She won't even last six months," Waterman is quoted as saying. He famously stormed off the set of the Pop Idol final when Michelle was named the winner.
*** Ryan Adams is unlikely to play scheduled gigs in Brighton, Birmingham and London after falling off stage in Liverpool and breaking his arm. He has also cancelled forthcoming dates in Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain.
*** Javine Hylton has signed a big promotional deal with Coca-Cola. The sultry 'Popstars: The Rivals' finalist will promote the fizzy drinks giant's new bottled water Dasani as part of the 7 million campaign to promote the drink in the UK. Javine will bag 100,000 for her promotional duties.
*** Kerry McFadden spent a day and a half in hospital after suffering a panic attack brought on by worry that she may become "Britain's most hated woman" after appearing in I'm A Celebrity'. "I've never felt anything like it," she said. "I began throwing up and couldn't stop. It was really scary. I felt dreadful."
