*** Courtney Love has pleaded guilty to a drugs charge in an LA court and agreed to enter a drug rehab programme. Love admitted to a count of being under the influence of a controlled substance when she appeared before a judge. The rehabilitation will include counselling and random drug testing, and if Love fails to complete the programme, she could get at least 90 days in jail.
*** Madonna cancelled the second date on her Re-Invention world tour after developing a stomach flu. The gig, at the Los Angeles forum, was rescheduled for tonight, May 26, after Madonna was ordered by a doctor to stay in bed. "She will be back at 100% and can't wait to entertain her fans," a statement on the singer's website said.
*** James Brown has been named as the support act for most of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' summer gigs. The soul legend will perform at the at Chilis' shows at London's Hyde Park on June 19, 20 and 25, as well as the ones at City of Manchester Stadium on June 18 and Cardiff Millennium Stadium on June 23. But For their Edinburgh date, support comes from N.E.R.D.
*** Beyonce is the latest star immortalised in wax at Madame Tussauds. Beyonce's replica, which she posed for three hours to create, is dressed in a copy of the orange and pink Versace dress she wore in the 'Crazy In Love' video. Visitors to the wax museum can try out their most dazzling dance moves on a podium, before Beyonce rates them as 'desperate' or 'diva' on the Divaometer.
*** Tony Yayo, an original member of 50 Cent's G Unit, is finally out of jail. The hapless rapper, who has been locked up during the bulk of G Unit's rise to fame, got parole six months ago after serving a year on bail-jumping and weapons charges. But he was found in possession of a dodgy passport on his first day out, and was thrown back into prison.
