*** Animal-rights enthusiast Pink wasn't pleased to see Beyonce Knowles sporting a mink coat at the London launch of Pepsi's new, in which they both star as gladiators. "It's not something I would wear but each to their own," Pink said. "I've not said anything but I think everyone knows my views - I won't ever touch fur - it's wrong."
*** Michael Jackson's children have reportedly been interviewed by welfare officers in the wake of the child sex allegations made against him. Reports quoted a family source saying that social workers had questioned the children and their nannies at a Beverly Hills mansion.
*** Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland Haas has been ordered to return to a live-in detox centre in California after leaving early. Weiland, 36, had been ordered to report to the centre in October 2003 after pleading no contest to possession of heroin.
*** The White Stripes have announced the next track to be released from their 'Elephant' album, 'There's No Home For You Here', will be available on seven-inch vinyl only. The single will also feature a 10-minute version of 'Ball and Biscuit'.
*** Franz Ferdinand will embark on a full headlining UK tour later this year. The dates are: Glasgow (April 12), Liverpool (15), Dublin (16), Sheffield (17), Nottingham (18), Leeds (20), Birmingham (21), Brighton (26), Norwich (27), Edinburgh (29), Manchester (30), Oxford (May 1), Bristol (2), Portsmouth (4) and London (5).
*** Kylie Minogue will perform her new single 'Red Blooded Woman' at London's G-A-Y night at the Astoria on February 28, according to reports. The live show will be her first in Britain since launching her 'Body Language' album last November.
*** While 'Lord of the Rings: Return of the King' has been nominated for a whopping 11 Oscars, Annie Lennox, Elvis Costello and T Bone Burnett are all nominated in the category for Original Song. The award ceremony takes place on Sunday, February 29.
