*** Kylie Minogue is to be face of a promotional feature, aiming to encourage the Swiss to choose Australia as a holiday destination. The star will appear on the cover of Reise-Blick, the travel supplement magazine of Blick - Switzerland's biggest daily newspaper.
*** Mel B has once again pushed the issue of a possible Spice Girls reunion into the spotlight. "We will probably do something together as a group, but not for a while," she said. "I think they are going to release an album, and hopefully we will all get together and write a song for it." Mel is currently playing the part of an HIV-positive drug addict in the musical 'Rent' in New York.
*** In other pop sensation reunion news, Take That will in fact reunite but without Robbie Williams, reports The Sun. Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Mark Owen will apparently get together for a one-off live performance and series of TV appearances to tie-in with the release of a Take That live DVD and digitally remastered back catalogue.
*** A posthumous new Elliot Smith album will be released next year, the late songwriter's father has revealed. Gary Smith posted a message on his son's official website, saying that final mixing and production would begin next month. "We are planning for a September or October release," he said. Elliot Smith was found dead last October, aged 34, from a knife wound to the chest. Coroners returned an open verdict.
*** George Michael is the most played artist on radio of the past 20 years. The Wham! star turned solo superstar is to be honoured by the Radio Academy for the achievement. "I can't believe it," said George. "I've only made six albums in 22 years so I don't know how this happened. I'm the luckiest writer on earth!" Sir Elton John is second in the list, Robbie Williams third and Kylie fourth.
