*** Britney Spears is reportedly so excited about her forthcoming nuptials that she has already called in a wedding planner. Reports say the singer is determined to marry Kevin Federline, her boyfriend of two months, as soon as possible. Some sources claim the wedding date has been set for November 20.
*** Muse have pulled out of a gig in Italy after one of the band's parents died on site at the Glastonbury Festival. A spokesperson said that drummer Dominic Howard's father died on Sunday night, shortly after the band played their highest profile gig on the Pyramid Stage.
*** Courtney Love was nearly branded a fugitive by a US judge on Monday after turning up five hours late to a court hearing to answer reckless endangerment charges relating to an incident in a nightclub in March. Judge Melissa Jackson reprimanded the singer, while Love took out a box of cigarettes and mumbled her apologies.
*** Oasis have reportedly gone "back to the drawing board" with the follow-up to 'Heathen Chemistry'. The band have been working on their sixth album with Death In Vegas for much of the year, but Noel Gallagher has said "the moment has passed" for some of the songs that have been recorded so far.
*** The remaining members of TLC are to audition replacements for rapper Left-Eye on a new reality TV show. T-Boz and Chilli are reportedly working with FOX TV in the US to film the search for a new third member. T-Boz has admitted that moving on without Left-Eye is difficult: "We take it video by video and project by project. Lisa isn't here - that's reality. It's not easy to come up with how to incorporate her."
*** Madonna has reportedly bought the film rights to a controversial expose of the fashion world. Tabloids claim the singer's film company Maverick Films has already started casting a group of up-and-coming models to play the likes of Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford in the film version of 'Model' by Michael Dross.
*** The Pet Shop Boys are to perform a free show in London's Trafalgar Square. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe will perform in full a soundtrack they have written for the 1925 silent film 'Battleship Potemkin'. The show takes place on September 12.
