*** Britney has confirmed her engagement to dancer Kevin Federline in an interview with People magazine. A People staffer said: "She will not reveal the wedding date, but she says she wants to have four or five kids." In the interview, Britney says: "I kissed a bunch of frogs and finally found my prince. I feel like I've found my happily ever after," before adding that she looks forward to being stepmother to Kevin's daughter and imminent second child.
*** Mud from this year's Glastonbury festival is being auctioned on eBay for up to 500. One punter's ad reads: "Stored in a plastic bag (with the of piece of straw and grass for company), this should arrive nicely damp with the early Glastonbury dew still soaking into it." Bootleg CDs of live Glastonbury performances are already appearing on the auction website, including sets from Oasis, Franz Ferdinand, Basement Jaxx and Orbital.
*** Beyonce Knowles and boyfriend Jay-Z won the top prizes at the 2004 BET Awards in Los Angeles " Best Female R&B Artist and Top Male Hip-Hop Artist " before teaming up to win Best Collaboration for 'Crazy In Love'. OutKast took home two awards for Best Group and Video Of The Year for 'Hey Ya', while Usher won Best R&B Artist and the People's Choice award.
*** The Music have announced details of a UK tour, kicking off in late September, to promote their forthcoming single, 'Freedom Fighters', and album. The tour will start in Cambridge on September 24, taking in Southampton, Bristol, Cardiff, Nottingham, Sheffield, Blackburn, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Birmingham, before finishing up at London's Hammersmith Palais on October 7.
*** Michael Jackson's attorneys are pushing for more secrecy around his child molestation case, asking that several documents are sealed, including defense motions that challenged search warrants. The motion said the documents would disclose "the testimony of witnesses or potential witnesses and disclose possible evidence" that may not be admitted at trial. But an attorney working for the media who want access to the documents said that Jackson's challenge of the searches could be key motions in the case.
