The ‘Wright way’
Who said footballers dont have a heart?
A two-day visit to Guatemala with the Education for the Children charity touched Chelsea and England footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips so deeply that he returned home determined to raise awareness of the countrys plight and raise funds to help people living there.
On Sunday 26 August, Shaun and friends " including dad Ian Wright and fellow blues star Wayne Bridge - will embark on a sponsored motorcycle ride. They will ride Harley-Davidson bikes and trikes, starting from Kings Road in London.
They will also stop off in Brighton and Southampton " before returning to the original start point.
The aim is to raise much needed funds for Education for the Children " a registered charity whose main aim is to build schools and improve the community and facilities for the poorest people in Central America.
I cant wait to start working hard to help raise money says Shaun. Its such a worthy cause and can help break the cycle of poverty by starting at the grassroots level. Im grateful to Harley-Davidson for all their help
