If youre aged 16 to 18 and would love to work in telly, MTV has a big chance for you.
TVYP (Television and Young People) is hosting a day of TV workshops, in partnership with MTV, on Friday 7 April. Its an opportunity for you to find out more about the world of television, and get a day of brilliant work experience.
There are 40 places for the event, which will be held at the MTV Studios in London in the Easter holidays. The lucky winners will meet and work with the teams at MTV who are behind programmes such as TRL and Pimp My Ride. You dont need any previous experience, but TVYP is looking for young people who really want to work in TV and who have great ideas for new programmes.
Its free to attend - just go to www.tvyp.co.uk and fill in the application form. The deadline is Tuesday 28 March 2006.
And if youre 18-21, applications are also open for TVYP Edinburgh - a free five-day training course with 150 places. This runs from 24-28 August and you'll attend masterclasses, workshops, careers talks and social events with all the top people from the TV industry.
