Weekend: Pop Shots
Oasis shut their doors, Michael's lost his appeal and The Kaiser Chiefs are caught dozing...
Top of the bill today is the Oasis Brit's party that was happy to shut their doors to even the rich and famous.
The lads from Manchester showed their lifetime achievement award hadn't gone to their heads - or maybe it had - when they started saying no to celebs right left and centre.
Amongst those turned away were Sadie Frost, Popworld's Alex Zane, Suggs and Badly Drawn Boy who apparently didn't take the news too well and spent the next 20 minutes on the phone trying to blag his way in.
Prize of the night, though, goes to a nameless partygoer who tried to sneak in as Naomi Campbell. She approached the door, head bowed and hoped for the best.
It's just a shame she looks like Naomi, really, not sure the boys would have let her in even if she had been genuine.
Another door that's now been closed on a once famous face, is the highly prized NBA All Star courtside seats that have recently been refused to former Prince of Pop Michael Jackson.
Apparently the troubled star was being replaced this year by the current crop of uber-celebs including Jay Z, Christina and P Diddy.
Slam Dunk!
Lastly today is a snippet from the Kaiser Chiefs .
According to Ricky Wilson in modern music bland bands rule and he's not happy " "basically, if it's bland enough people will buy it," he told The Sun.
All this from a man who confesses to curling up in front of The Midsomer Murders of an evening.
We predict a quiet evening in then lads. Zzzz...
