Geordie Shore's Aaron Chalmers Confirms First Ever Professional MMA Fight. Keemon!
Geordie Shore's Aaron Chalmers isn't a newbie when it comes to kick offs and mortal combat.
Yet on the 12th of May, the tattooed hunk is swapping the carnage of the Geordie Shore house for the cage when he travels to Birmingham's Genting Arena to make his professional MMA debut at BAMMA 29 - a star-studded night of brutal mixed martial arts.
Normally the 29-year-old can be found getting mortal and bucking on the Toon, but when it comes to MMA, this radgie takes things very seriously as the lad looks to take the first step in a canny mint career in the savage MMA cage.
"I plan to go out there and leave it all on the line," said the Geordie lad about his upcoming bout, before adding: "My opponent is just a stepping stone that I will stamp on and continue my journey onwards.”
Now it's time to pie off those pints of Newcastle Brown Ale and greasy kebabs, as fight night gets closer.
Aaron has been training hard to get fit AF as he aims to make a name for himself in the highly competitive world of mixed martial arts.
The lad ain't messing around, he even travelled all the way to Thailand to train at the spiritual home of Muay Thai boxing.
But does the Geordie lad have what it takes? David Green, CEO of BAMMA, is certainly hopeful.
Green, whose BAMMA promotes the biggest and best MMA fights across Europe, said: “Aaron has shown us here at BAMMA that this is not just a side project for him.
"He has committed to making this a successful career and we are pleased to give him a platform to begin this roller coaster of a journey."
Oi O ladi! We think Aaron has nowt to worry about. KEEMON YA RADGIE!
