Charlotte Chooses Mitch Over Geordie Shore
Get all the details on the explosive season finale here...
In last night’s (22 October) season finale of Geordie Shore, Charlotte made an emotional return to the house after her explosive argument with boyfriend Mitch in last week's episode - only to pack her bags and leave once again, saying that she may not return!
As she got into a taxi and drove away, the Geordie lass revealed: “I don’t know whether I can ever come back to the Geordie Shore house.”
Discovering that Charlotte had packed up and left, the gang then found a letter explaining why she’d gone which read: “I need to go with my heart right now, not my head. I can’t sit here knowing you all hate Mitch.”
Devastated by the reality of what had happened, best mate Holly was inconsolable, partly blaming herself for Charlotte's unexpected departure.
The 21-year-old star admitted: “I am being selfish wanting her to be here but she is my best friend. I feel completely heartbroken.”
Gaz also seemed genuinely saddened by Charlotte’s shock exit, laying his emotions on the table and admitting he had regrets about their previous on-off relationship.
The 'Buck Squad' member dished: “It does go through my head, 'What if I’d got with Charlotte?' 'What if I could have made her the happiest girl in the f***ing world?' It keeps playing over and over in my head, what if?”
With Sophie and Vicky both having left the house earlier in the series, Charlotte’s walkout means Holly was the last remaining original female member in the house, with her only counterpart being her nemesis Marnie.
Speaking exclusively to MTV News UK however, Holly admitted that the circumstances had forced a friendship between the unlikely pair.
Holly said: “It needed this to actually get us to be closer and to be good friends.”
And with much of season 7 dominated by the drama between Scott and Marnie, tensions between the pair came to a climax when Marnie pulled a lad on the group's last family night out, sending Scott into a rage and sabotaging any chance of them hooking up.
The following day, as the Geordies tried to boost morale by going on a luxury yacht trip, Marnie and Scott officially called an end to their flirty on-off romance.
Marnie said: “I just want to leave whatever we’ve had 'cause it’s just not going anywhere, it’s just a f***ing head f*** really”
Scotty T appeared to have similar feelings, admitting that although he did like Marnie, he was always going to have trust issues after her flirty behaviour throughout the series.
Scott revealed: “After everything that happened I was never gonna trust Marnie. She plays too many games, she flirts with my mates and I’m not gonna mug myself off by getting in a relationship.”
