The worlds of Geordie Shore and Britain’s Got Talent collided on Saturday night – well, kind of.

Viewers over the weekend were thrilled by the performance of boy band, The Boyz – but one of the band members happened to be Abbie Holborn’s dad, Craig!

The Geordie Shore babe couldn’t be prouder of her pop, telling Digital Spy: “I am over the moon Dad is on Britain’s Got Talent. He really deserves this opportunity. Dad and the lads work so, so hard and I know they do it ‘cos they love entertaining people.”

She continued: “I’ve been watching my dad perform since I was a little girl. He always gives 100% and knows how to get a crowd going. Every time I watch him I feel so proud. I think The Boyz are brilliant and I hope the judges agree. I have got everything crossed they get through to the next round. Come on The Boyz!”

While Simon Cowell wasn’t a fan of the act, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams were – and sent the act straight through to the next round.

Meanwhile, Abbie says it is unlikely her dad will be showing up on her own reality show.

“Dad could even handle a night on the ‘toon with the Geordie Shoregang. I think he’d be the life and soul of the party and everyone would love him,” she said.

“I am more outrageous than my Dad. He doesn’t know the half of it but I think he may be getting an idea now as he watches every episode of Geordie Shore,” she continued.

“I’ve been quite tame up until now. God help me when he watches me in France – eeek!” she added.
