If there’s one thing our Geordie Shore family are known for (aside from getting mortal, necking on and being kebab connoisseurs), it’s for throwing the most BELTA house parties the Toon has seen – even if they do have a tendency to end in a kick off or two.
And that’s exactly what happens in next week’s episode (airing Tuesday 23rd January at 10pm on MTV, youse lot), with this first look at the dramz showing birthday lass Marnie Simpson ending her night in tears after arguing with boyfriend Casey Johnson about her relationship with Aaron Chalmers.
WATCH MARNIE BREAK DOWN AS CASEY ASKS WHAT SHE’S BEEN DOING WITH AARON:
In a mission to give Marnie a birthday to remember, the family help the lass create the most mint carnival-themed party, complete with decorations, glitter and some pure mortal mums.
With the party in full swing, Marnie admits there’s just one thing missing, saying in this sneak peek clip: “Just at the point when I’d given up hope on Casey turning up, he walks in and I am buzzin’ to see him!”
Admitting the situation is far from ideal, Aaron says away from the house: “This is a f**king sh*t situation to be in, but it is Marnie’s birthday and the last thing I want to do is ruin it.”
He later tells Nathan Henry: “It’s her birthday, it’s her night. If she’s happy, I’m happy.”
Wasting no time in catching up with what Marnie’s been getting up to in the house (after telling her he’s missed her, of course), Casey asks if she’s been “getting close to Aaron,” to which she tells him: “No, me and Aaron are close ‘cause we’re friends.”
Casey then asks if she’s “shared a bed with him,” which she denies, before he adds: “What have you done with him?”
Telling him nothing’s gone on, Marnie starts crying, saying away from the house: “Casey’s only been here two minutes and he’s already giving us grief about Aaron. What the hell?”
Noticing the lass isn’t happy, Aaron admits away from the party: “I look over and Marnie’s upset. What the f**k has Casey said to her? Usually when Marnie’s upset, I’m the one that comforts her. This is tough for me. I just need to leave them to it.”
Taking their row upstairs, Marnie breaks down as Casey says: “I hope you haven’t been doing anything with Aaron,” before he adds: “You don’t understand how hard it is for me, man.”
Denying anything’s gone on again, Marnie explains away from the bedroom: “Casey just isn’t getting it tonight and it’s so strange because I’ve had this conversation with him so many times.”
Trying once more to explain her friendship with Aaron, an emotional Marnie tells Casey: “Me and Aaron are best friends, nothing more!”
Casey still isn’t happy though, telling Marnie: “It annoys me when you tell me, ‘Oh, we’re best friends’. Shut up, I’ve had enough.”
Sadly, things only get more akka when Marnie reveals the bracelet Aaron’s bought her for her birthday, with a raging Casey immediately asking why she’s wearing it: “Take it off now man. You’re mugging me off.”
Hoping to “calm him down,” Marnie explains that the charm on the bracelet actually says ‘best friends’.
Casey, though, is still raging and throws the bracelet across the room (howay, lad!), with an upset Marnie telling him he “can’t do that!”
He adds his views on what she should’ve done when Aaron presented her with the gift, saying: “Say no, I’ve got a boyfriend, I don’t want a bracelet from my ex. Simple as. He’s your ex. What have you done with him then since you’ve been here?”
For a final time, Marnie tells Casey “nothing” has happened, adding away from the tension: “Me and Aaron are just friends – I can’t say it any more!”
Eek. Another Geordie party completed, eh?
