Just when we thought Chloe Ferry and Abbie Holborn’s Geordie Shore love triangle with Sam Gowland had finally broken up and peace (vaguely) restored to the Toon, things kicked reet off AGAIN in tonight’s episode – and it was all over some tears.

It all started when Chloe and Sam joined their fellow radgies out on the Toon after their Chicken Cottage date (no, we’re not joking pet), with a reet mortal Abbie breaking down in tears about feeling 'lonely' and 'rejected'.

However, things escalated quicker than a meme going viral when Chloe confronted her about her tears, with the lass seemingly getting the wrong end of the stick about what was making Abbie so sad.

Now, speaking in an exclusive Confession Cam for MTV, Abbie has explained exactly what was on her mind when she got emotional, saying: “I was a bit surprised yesterday ‘cause Chloe came and grabbed us.

“Basically, she just wanted to find out exactly the reason why I was upset. She thought it was over her and Sam, but it wasn’t. It was just me being drunk, being daft and feeling a bit lonely (sic).”

The lass later added: “I just feel like the whole situation was totally blown out of proportion and it was a big misunderstanding, because every girl at some point has been drunk and felt lonely and been upset and I don’t think I should’ve got the backlash that I did for it.”

Chloe, meanwhile, has revealed that she just wanted to get to the bottom of the whole situation, saying: “ (Abbie’s) been saying about me and Sam, getting upset over it and stuff, and I just wanted to speak to her and get the truth (sic).”

Adding that it was all “starting to get a little bit irritating,” Chloe also explained: “Obviously, at first it was all jokes but I do like Sam now and (I) just want her to be a lot more honest with us and actually speak to us when she’s got something on her mind (sic).”
