Geordie Shore's Dan 'Won't Join Bucking Squad'
New boy says he's happy to go it alone in the fifth series...
Geordie Shorestar Dan has revealed he 'struggled' to fit in with his fellow North-East pals during his first series on the hit MTV show.
The 19-year old, who failed to impress top dog Gaz and new 'Bucking Squad' member Scotty-T throughout his time in the house, explained: "Last series I struggled a little bit to settle in and find out where I fitted in.
"I’m not going to try and be part of any group, I’m not going to try and impress anybody, I’m just going to go in and do my own thing.
"If they'd said 'do you wanna be part of the bucking squad?' I’d be like 'No, you’re alright'. I’d rather do my own thing, I don’t want to be part of a 16-year old group that call themselves the f**king bucking squad."
He went on to joke: "I think Broke Back Mountain, f**king hell, ramming each other’s a*seholes n stuff…shocking!"
Teasing his role in the fifth series of Geordie Shore, Dan said: "This time round I feel a lot more settled, I know how things work, I know how people are like, so basically I’m looking forward to being myself this time and actually being part of the group all the way through."
However, Dan went on to add that he was surprised by some of the comments his housemates said behind his back at the end of season four, claiming: "Coming out the house and watching it back you do realise that some of them are two faced ***** and they will talk about you.”
Find out if Dan will succeed in his quest as ‘The Lone Boner’ and whether he finally gains the respect of The Bucking Squad when series five of Geordie Shore hits MTV at 10pm on February 19.
