Geordie Shore's ultimate lad Gaz has added a new string to his bow, acting as a featured producer on the new single from former X Factor stars The Risk!

Speaking exclusively to MTV News UK, Gaz admitted he's “buzzing” for fans to hear Up Your Game, a track which he describes as having a "cool R&B feel".

The tune was executive produced by Rymez and features the vocal stylings of the former X Factor boy band - because as much as Gaz would "love to be a singer," he insisted: "Honestly there’s no way, I’m cr*p!"

Speaking about The Risk however, the fist-pumping Geordie star revealed: “They’re down to earth, they’re still working hard, and they’ve been waiting for someone to back them for ages. To be able to do that is absolutely wicked and they deserve it.”

The party-loving lad says he's been watching this year's crop of X Factor hopefuls and his money is on Rough Copy to take home the title, gushing that the group is “literally insane”.

When asked whether he plans to pursue a career in the music industry, Gaz admitted that while it isn’t a route he ever thought he would go down, working on Up Your Game has got him more excited about the idea.

And there’s one particular artist he would love to work with in the future.

Gaz dished: “Rihanna – just so I can stare at her 24/7, but that’s not going to happen so I’ll just stick with The Risk!”

Up Your Game is slated for release here in the UK on December 15.
