Vicky Pattison Reveals Geordie Shore Weight Loss Secrets

The Geordie Shore house is full of temptation - and were not talking about Gaz's parsnip. Here's how the lasses avoid it...

It's impossible not to notice how slim and sassy the Geordie Shore lasses are looking these days. Charlotte's been flashing her figure in a series of sexy frocks, Holly's showing off her teeny-tiny waistline, and Vicky can't help but boast about her new boobs.

But maintaining a healthy lifestyle in the house isn't easy. After all, it is pretty much a 24/7 boozathon. So for season nine, the girls came up with a plan - outside catering… from somewhere that wasn't the local kebab house.

Canny smart, eh?

"We banded together as females on this one and said ‘no, put your fingers in your pockets and can we have some catering’. We’ve turned into right divas now," Vickytold Yahoo! Celebrity.

"It’s made such a difference. You don’t get much time to cook, so we used to have a crisps cupboard and a chocolate drawer, which we'd descend on like a pack of raccoons after a night out.

"Charlotte and the girls, we hate how it made us feel, we work so hard to get trim before we get in there and then two or three weeks later you’re feeling all the effects of the drinking and you’re clothes are a little bit snug. It’s a knock on your confidence.

"With the catering we swapped our fry ups for eggs or porridge for breakfast and then salads and meat platters for lunch. That made keeping our figures loads easier."

It's no surprise that after all the time and effort she put into getting trim - slimming from a size 16 to a size 6 earlier this year - Vicky was keen to stay in good shape.

"This time around, for season 9, there wasn’t as much of a break so I wasn’t as excited to get in there and get drunk," she explained.

"I was more controlled, we had time to exercise every morning when we woke up. I came out of the house practically the same size. I'm actually a bit worried I come across as really boring in season 9!"

Refreshingly, Vicky admitted that sticking to a diet hasn't been easy for her.

"I don’t agree with faddy diets, starving yourself or diet pills or what ever it is that other celebs lose weight on," she said. "I believe in everything in moderation and living your life and enjoying yourself and being realistic.

"If I said ‘no drinking, no this and no that’, I’d go insane. I’d fall off the wagon and have a huge binge. Like massive. Like full day of Burger King, Dominos and McDonalds, everything.

"That’s so counterproductive. It’s important to do little and often, treat yourself. Stay focused. Every so often I have a cheat meal. Life’s for living and I thoroughly believe that."

And it's not just temptation that's a problem for the reality star, who also feels the pressure of constantly being in the public eye.

"It is very hard to maintain," she admitted. "Losing it was difficult but maintaining it… it’s the pressure. After series 8 back in April, I was so excited to film that I totally let my hair down.

"I did it in spectacular fashion. Jagerbombs, kebabs, Milky Ways, everything, it was constant. I came out and I was heavier than I was when I went in.

"Obviously you can’t expect not to gain weight when you’re living like that, but the press picked up on it straight away, ‘oh she’s fallen straight into the trend, did the DVD and then packed it all in!’.

[related]"But that wasn’t the case, I’d just spent six weeks living in an environment where you drink every day and you eat pizzas and Nandos and Dominoes. It was impossible to retain my figure.

"But it was horrible to read and hear those things, because I hadn’t given it up, I’d just had a blip. I didn’t even gain that much!"

Whatever, V, you always look gorgeous to us.
