George Clooney has reportedly been arrested in Washington D.C. during a protest at the Sudanese embassy.
According to TMZ, The Descendants actor was leading a protest over the crisis in Sudan when he was taken away by secret service agents.
The Telegraph has also reported that Clooney's father Nick was also amongst a few others that were also arrested after being warned three times not to cross a police line outside the building.
They were then handcuffed and placed in a US Secret Service van, with Clooney's publicist Stan Rosenfield sating to TMZ: "They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children.
"They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world."
The 50-year old had earlier claimed that he hoped the protest would draw more attention to the situation in Sudan, and that if action is not taken in the next few months "we're going to have a real humanitarian disaster."
