George Clooney "Doesn't Give A S**t" About Gay Rumours
George Clooney has claimed he doesn't "give a s**t" if people think he is gay.
The Descendants actor, who is currently dating ex-WWE star Stacy Keibler, has stated that he isn't bothered by rumours concerning his sexuality, revealing he believes people will continue to question whether or not he is homosexual for years.
Speaking to The Advocate about the allegations, Clooney stated: "I'm not going to make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private, and I'm very happy in it.
"Who does it hurt if someone thinks I'm gay? I'll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don't give a s**t."
The 50-year old, who is due to star in a one-off production of Dustin Lance Black's same-sex marriage play 8 on 3rd March, also addressed the play's topic - as it follows the battle against California's controversial Proposition 8, which outlawed gay marriage across the state.
Clooney explained that marriage equality will mark "the final leg of the civil rights movement", adding: "I've made the point that every time we've stood against equality, we've been on the wrong side of history.
"It's the same kind of argument they made when they didn't want blacks to serve in the military, or when they didn't want blacks to marry whites. One day the marriage equality fight will look archaic."
When asked if he would ever portray a gay character in a future movie, George confessed: "I'm certainly not avoiding it. Whether it's about being gay or it just happens to have a gay character, if it's a great screenplay, let's go do it."
