George Michael 'Improving Every Day'
Singer said to be 'doing fine' as he battles severe pneumonia...
Singer George Michael is "improving every day", his friend Fadi Fawaz has revealed.
The 48-year-old was struck down with severe pneumonia last week and has since been in intensive care at a Vienna hospital.
Now Fawaz has spoken out to assure fans that George is "much better".
Speaking to the Daily Star, the celebrity hair stylist thanked fans for their kind messages and said: "He is improving every day.
"There is nothing to be concerned about. He is doing fine. We are very happy."
It will come as welcome news to many. Rumours of other health problems were rife last week and Michael's publicist was forced to dismiss media speculation over his illness.
Doctors from the Medical University of Vienna, where George is being treated, confirmed that the singer was "responding to treatment" and on Thursday, the Daily Mail reported that the star had "woken up".
Unfortunately, doctors were unable to say how long it would take George to recover and he has been forced to cancel the remainder of his Symphonica tour.
Get well soon George.
