George Michael Promises 'Great New Music' In 2013

Star says he's 'doing great' after a tough 2012...

George Michael has promised fans that 2013 will be "full of great new music".

The 49-year-old singer has had a tough year, following a [uuid=f256d825-b36e-4f14-a2c3-79f074f5933a]life-threatening bout of pneumonia[/uuid] in 2011.

But the former Wham! star took to Twitter to send fans a Christmas message yesterday, writing: "Belated Happy Xmas. Sorry you haven't heard from your favourite singing greek for so long.

"You needn't worry, I'm doing great. Feeling so much better than I was."

George went on: "Must get back to my party, but looking forward to a great 2013, I promise it will be full of great new music, huge Xmas hug to you all."

The White Light singer endured a "horrible experience" following his hospitalisation, and was later forced to abandon his Down Under tour because of the [uuid=7c1cec9a-f809-47d6-b62b-4834373f8fe1]stress of recovering from the illness.[/uuid]
