1) For those who don’t know about you and your music, tell us a little bit about who you are and where you’re from…

"I'm Lily, born in London but grew up in Brighton. I now live in London again whilst I'm doing my favourite thing, singing and writing songs everyday."

2) Describe your sound in three words…

"Soulful, gritty, truthful."

3) Who inspired you to start a career in music?

"Nobody. I’ve always loved singing from a young age and it's all I've ever wanted to do!"

4) Who are your biggest musical influences?

"Aretha Franklin, Alabama Shakes, Etta James."

5) Tell us about the writing and recording process for your new single/album…

"All the songs on my latest EP 'IWill Never Be'were really easy and enjoyable to write as I would go in the studio each day knowing exactly what I wanted the song to be about. Sometimes this was a chorus line or other times it was just a mood I was in.

"I wrote 'Know I Wanna Be With You' after overhearing a phone call of one of my friends on the phone to her boyfriend. So yeah, they're all really natural and fun to write which I think makes for a good song. The recording process was brilliant as I was able to work with some brilliant producers that brought the songs to life."
