Ghost Recon Movie Pitch Confirmed
Ubisoft hoping for green light on big screen adaptation...
Ubisoft has confirmed that a movie adaptation of Ghost Recon is in the pipeline.
According to Digital Spy, Ubisoft Motion Pictures boss Jean-Julien Baronnet is in the process of putting together a pitch to make a big screen version based on the military shooter games.
And he has high hopes when it comes to translating the game to the silver screen.
The Los Angeles Times quotes him as saying: "We don't want to make an average movie. We want to make a movie that will serve the brand and make happy the gamers and also the non-gamers.
"I think it has never been done before, but we can build this bridge. With so much at stake, it's important we don't give up the DNA of the game, the fundamental pillars."
Film adaptations of popular games franchises Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell - set to star The Dark Knight Rises star Tom Hardy - are also thought to be on the cards.
