Michael Bay Heading Up Ghost Recon Movie

Transformers filmmaker to bring videogame to the big screen...

Transformers director Michael Bay has been recruited to make a big-screen version of the Ghost Recon videogame franchise.
The filmmaker is reportedly set to develop the action movie for Warner Brothers and Ubisoft - and will also be a candidate to direct it too.
The games franchise is based on a group of US special forces soldiers under the direct command of the President.
Ubisoft's Jean Julien Baronnet explained to Variety: "These guys don't belong to any specific organisation.
"They're in the field where the US troops are not supposed to be. It's a small team with very strong personalities and very specific skill sets. They're using weapons nobody knows about, but it's very grounded. It's not sci-fi."
Screenwriters are currently being sought and casting is set to take place next month, Variety claims.
