The wait for our return to Stars Hollow is FINALLY over as Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life lands in our binge-watch-loving laps today.

There were so very many questions we had about our favourite Gilmore Girls so who better to quiz than Lorelai and Rory, *cough*, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel?

(And yes, it was incredibly hard not to shout ‘oy with the poodles already!’ at them.)

Lauren admitted that she had been really nervous to read the scripts and see what everyone was up to.

She said: “There was a lot riding on this after all this time and I just wanted it to be as good as it could possibly be.”

She had also wondered where Lorelai would be after all these years: “I figured Lorelai would be, in her work-life, about the same place and I wondered about her romantic life as well and if certain things hadn’t happened then why not."

"I wondered and was concerned with how we would handle being there without Ed Herrmann and I think it ended up giving the show a little sadness but maybe in that way maybe some more maturity.”

And it turns out Alexis was pretty shocked at where we found Rory after all this time.

“I was surprised to learn that we pick up with Rory when she is a bit aimless in her career because I had just wanted her to be on top of the world,” she said.

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN? Very mysterious.
