Get Your First Look At Girls Season Four

Lena Dunham and co spill the beans on forthcoming series...

We might have to wait until next year to get stuck into the fourth season of Girls, but at least we've now got our first sneak peek at what happens next in the hilariously awkward sitcom.

A two-minute trailer released on the web by HBO shows Lena Dunham describing how her character Hannah will be seen heading off to writing school in Iowa, while still attempting to maintain a relationship with BF Adam.

Dunham explains: "This season of Girls is the girls making smarter choices and realising that life is still hard."

The trailer also reveals that Marnie (Allison Williams) embarks on an affair with music partner Desi, with unhappy effects on Ray.

Jessa continues to play the world-weary bohemian - and Jemima Kirke who plays her comments: "She thinks of herself as someone who's had a lot of experiences and has been outside the box a little bit, so she has a lot of introspection on these things... but she doesn't really."

But best of all we get to meet the enigmatic Shoshanna's parents.

Actress Zosia Mamet quips: "I always sort of imagined that she came out of a seashell or a peapod or something."

The new series will arrive early in 2015.
